Membership Requirements |
|
Tanzania Chamber of Commerce and Industry is a non-profit, autonomous
organization whose membership is voluntary. It is a company limited by guarantee
without share capital. The Chamber however, maintains strong links with
Government and works very closely with private sector organizations
Requirements to be a member of
Tanzania Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture :
- A person of 18 years and above
- A company registered by Registrar of Companies

- Valid Tax payer to Tanzania Revenue Authority (TIN or
VAT) [Here]
- Having a business premises and an address
To fulfill being a member, an annual subscription fees and a one-time
registration fee of a minimum 60,000 TSH has to be paid to the Chamber depending
on the Type of membership and the Region a member is joining .
The Chamber Membership is categorized as the following three
categories:-

Ordinary Membership

Affiliated membership

Corporate Membership
Ordinary Membership:
Ordinary Membership is open to individuals or
businesses that fulfill membership requirements. A Ordinary
member pays a one-time 60,000/- TSHS and an annual subscription
fee of 20,000/- TSHS. These have voting rights and can vote up
to the Regional level. Register
Affiliated Membership:
A membership that is open to all associations. An Affiliate
member is adopted on recommendation by The Board of Directors
and has powers to vote and can be voted to the executive of
Chamber. Each association is entitled to one vote; these pay a
one-time registration fee of 50,000 TSH and an annual
subscription of 500,000 TSH and 1,000,000 TSH depending on the
size and financial capacity of a particular association.Register
Corporate Membership:
A membership which is open to all
institutions, commercial industrial, or mining firms,
partnerships, co-operative societies, private companies with
limited liability, public companies and statutory bodies
conducting business in Tanzania and foreign companies which have
an established place of business in Tanzania. A silver member
pays a one-time registration fee of 100,000/- TSHS and an annual
subscription of 3,000,000 TSH.Register
TCCIA is a member of the
International Chamber of Commerce (ICC),East Africa Chambers of
Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (EACCIA). It has signed
Memoranda of Understanding with the American Chamber of Commerce
and Industry in the United States Of America and the Iran
Chamber of Commerce Industry and Mines.
